Reflections Of A Medical Student

REFLECTIONS OF A MEDICAL STUDENT Now I know the topic I have presently chosen to talk about is probably the most overused, cliched and likely to be the most popular topic on social media. However, my reason for choosing this is simple. No matter how much people talk about this or attempt to spread awareness about it on various platforms, it's even more significant for the public to realise that being a medical student is not a walk in the park. Not to demotivate future aspirants, but to prepare them for what they will potentially face as medical students in a college. Shyam wakes up at 5, sees the pile of books lying on his table and goes to sleep again. He wakes up again at 7 to freshen up before he attends his classes. Now, this boy has not slept more than 3 hours because he is online on the internet till 2 in the night. He goes to the backseat, sleeps, and misses everything being taught. Travelling from department to department, he gets so tired that he prioritises sleep over ...

Teenage

But at night, he is unable to acknowledge himself. He has grisly nightmares--What is he now? What has he become? Has he lost his innocence that very day? What awaits?  Teenage is a very commonly used term, which is used even by a layman to convey the age of a person, who looks somewhat broad in his...

The problem is that people don’t understand the harmful side of these narcotics; probably since these unsuspecting people are taking these stimulants while in a mental state of imbalance, such as depression. People may try to avoid drugs, but this avoiding can soon change into an addiction. For example, a teenager does his best to avoid drugs. But one day, as he was searching for his friend amongst the other people in a party, he sees his best friend taking drugs. Curious and anxious about how drugs actually taste and how they affect the body, his friend may easily stimulate the keen teen to take one and try for himself. Thus, the unsuspecting teen gets addicted. Who falls prey to these toxins? And who is the predator? Well, drugs are mostly weapons used to kill the social and mental well being o...
